Dr. Lee Merritt believes SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, is a genetically engineered bioweapon.
“SARS-CoV-2 is a genetically engineered bioweapon, and the entire pandemic is a vast global conspiracy to exert social control,” said Merritt, a renowned orthopedic and spinal surgeon. In one of her video lectures, Merritt said what happened with SARS-CoV-2 does not fit the criteria of a “spontaneous” outbreak. (Related: American scientist slams researchers at Bill Gates-funded university for mutating COVID.)
An article published in bioRxiv in January 2020 – approximately two months before the World Health Organization officially declared a global pandemic – supported her claim.
“We are currently witnessing a major epidemic caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). The evolution of 2019-nCoV remains elusive. We found four insertions in the spike glycoprotein (S) which are unique to the 2019-nCoV and are not present in other coronaviruses,” the authors of the study wrote.
“We can see where this was cut and spliced. Intrigued, we used the 2019-nCoV local alignment with each insert as query against all virus genomes and surprisingly, each of the four inserts aligned with short segments of the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) proteins.”
Unfortunately, the authors were told to take down their article despite the fact that their data came from an open source database that is open and free for download, modification and reuse.
Merritt noted that a ZeroHedge article about it had also been taken down.
“Somebody took four inserts of the HIV/AIDS virus and put them into the S1 sub-unit protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is what had happened,” Merritt said.
Merritt noted that the computer algorithm the scientists used to tell where a gene sequence came from was similar to the Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST), a computer algorithm that is available for use online at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, as well as many other sites.
Another point Merritt made in her video lecture was about Dr. David E. Martin, founding CEO of M-CAM, Inc., who developed a computer program that could follow patents as an indication of technological innovation for the purpose of investment, among other things.
It turns out that every patent of the spike protein that makes people sick was already present in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office before 2018.
Merritt found the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Children’s Medical Center Corporation, the Human Genome Sciences, Inc., the University of Hong Kong, the University of Iowa Research Foundation, Crucell Holland, B.V. and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute among the registered patent holders.
That being the case, Merritt said there is nothing “novel” about COVID-19. “Don’t let anybody tell you that COVID-19 came out of nature. Don’t let anybody tell you that the COVID-19 pandemic was not pre-planned.”
